Growing Families

Preconception, conception, and postpartum

As a new mother herself, Dr. Emma has a strong passion for serving growing families.

Preconception: There are many nutritional aspect that can affect fertility. As Dr. Marcia Schaefer says, "Fertility is a sign of health". There are many different components that play a role in your fertility. If you are experiencing difficulties getting and staying pregnant, I would love to assist you on your journey.

Pregnant: Dr. Emma is Webster and Perinatal Certified through the ICPA which makes her the go to chiropractor in Salina for pregnant moms. Chiropractic care throughout pregnancy has been shown to reduce labor times, decreased back pain, improved sleep, faster recovery, and much more. Pregnancy causes the body to change at rapid rates and chiropractic care can help your body to better adapt to those changes.

Postpartum: The fourth trimester is arguably the hardest part of growing your family. Sleep deprivation takes over and nobody's immune system is functioning at its highest potiental. Chiropractic care can help both parents and babies have a better postpartum period by keeping everyone's nervous system functioning at its best.

The journey into this world can be rough on babies which is why Dr. Emma believes chiropractic care in pediatric populations is so important. Many babies experience some sort of "trauma" during delivery (this means anything other than a PERFECT delievery). These traumas can cause tension on the cervical spine (neck) and cause subluxations. These subluxation can cause interferences in the nervous system that can effect function in nursing, ear drainage, bowel movements, and much more. Dr. Emma believes that chiropractic care from a young age can help prevent many issues later on life.
